Journey started from velachery Ayyapa temple after irrumudi, reached the Kottayam early morning next day. First temple visit Chakkulathamma- Is an eternal divinity which is the ultimate cause for the creation as well sustenance of this universe.The water in the historical pond of the temple had the sweetness of jaggery. ‘Chakkarkulam’ became shortened in the long run and came to be known as Chakkulam. Then it was Mannaarsaala temple - A snake grove is held in regard as a place of worship. i would say, it is the Topnotch for his natural appearence & his silent environment.After that Ambalapuzha Temple- Dedicated to Lord Krishna famous for the milk porridge, 'Palpayasam'.
Afternoon it was Erumely- The pilgrimage to sabarimala begins here. It's where Vavar, the mighty Muslim warrior, in a show of prowess, met with, Lord Ayyappa. 'Pettathullal', the ritual & Colourful vigorous war dance performed by the devotees at Erumely, symbolizes the triumph of good over evil.celebration of the lord Ayyappa's victory over Mahishi.
Then finally we reached Pamba river, bathed and then started towards sabarimalai. It was raining & it surely added our gusto. NeeliMalai, Appachimedu, Saramkuthi -Ayyapan saranam everywhere was almost booming our ears. Then we climbed the 18steps and had good dharsan of Ayyapa.
Since it was my first time(Kanni swami), i use to lead in everything
superb experience. Went to nei abishegam too. In the return we went to Pandalam- the birth place of Lord Ayappa in human form. located on the banks of river Achenkovil. A few days before the Makar Sankranti, the ornaments of Lord Ayappa is taken in a procession from Pandalam to Sabrimala. Then took train in Chengannur.
Our doings includes- Guru swami's experience on paadha yathra. History of ayyapa from harish. Our Saranam & bhajjans. Ramesh Brushing only in Kottayam , No never comes from his mouth for anything, Rupturing everybody-Noondi. Praveen pulling Vijay for everything. Prakash Brahama asthram, Rakesh school mischief stories(Shakthi). Durai song Harihara sanam thambi, Harish Engorging everything mainly Samosa, Fighting for the last seat in the van. Glommed the water can & acting as if we are slept. Rakesh tie-ing the Bell praveen almost was not allowing for that. Durai & Prakash rolling the coconut around Manjamatha. Lemon soda really helped us in the Fatigue. Santhose & his prettiness. Vijay & santhose quarrel at the last minute. Our Small shopping.
