YES and YES- My Brothers Marriage

Nothing to do with horoscopes. Still Unstoppable. My Brothers Marriage, DR weds Dr. The first marriage in my family, i think it is the dandiest i have ever seen as i was myself indulged in it. Had a number of rituals and customs most of which are superstitious or time wasting, but very interesting i would say. Basked for sure.

Notes of the Nadaswaram, Full-grown plantain trees tied to both the gateposts Eternal tree of evergreen plenty for endless generations!, Festoons overhead of mango leaves, Kolam or Rangoli designs at the doorsteps – an artistic welcome! with color papers decorating the place. At Marriage hall, sprinklings of rosewater, offerings of flower, sandal batter, sugar candy!

USHERING-IN OF THE BRIDE (Pen aizhaippu)
On the evening prior to the wedding day, the groom was brought from a temple in a flower decorated car. He is escorted by the bride’s parents, Nadaswaram band leads the way along the streets, Street was decorated fully with serial lights,
Crackers imported from Sivakasi to decorate the sky, Made her to walk in the red carpet with showering of Rose flowers on both sides (Back ground song "Va ra yo thozhi va ra yo"). what a day!! it was looking same as our tamil movie. Real memories.

Marriage was held in Vadapalani temple, gud and simple formalities. Both of them were taken to kancheepuram temple to complete other formalities.

Reception-
More than 50 of my friends turned up.. Rooms reserved in IIT Madras Guest house, Night stay was accompanied with drinks & beverages. Drinks were brought in from pondichery that too through government Ambulance to get rid off the toll gates. Blore Guys spend their time in IIT. Reception @ Vasudevan mandapam Camproad. Thanks for my loving frienz whose occurrence had no doubt graced this extraordinary event. Special thanks to Praveen, Prakash, Sambath, Kannan & Ramesh who helped me in all the way.
